The size of the shoes was not even close, so I immediately returned them. I have worn Rockport classic walking shoes for close to 20 years, and the size has never varied, so I thought that ordering by mail would work. Wrong. My feet swam in the shoes. The box claimed to be the size that I ordered, but the shoe was about an inch too long, and way too wide. The tongue of the shoe said it was an extra wide, although I had ordered a B (Medium width). On top of the sizing problem, the shoe was much lighter and less sturdy than I was expecting (based on my long history with the classic walkers). If that were the only thing, I would have still tried them, but I am not going to get into trying to find the right shoe size by mail if Rockport or the shoe manufacturer have changed their sizes so dramatically.
